Terms of Service
Last updated: 19 August 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TaskVault (the "Platform"). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The platform
TaskVault is an online marketplace that connects buyers with independent tradespeople and service providers ("Sellers") in the UAE. We are not a party to the contract for services formed between buyers and sellers, and we do not perform, supervise, or guarantee the quality of any work.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to use the Platform. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Booking & pricing
Sellers may offer services as fixed-price packages, bookable instantly, or via custom quotes negotiated through the Platform's messaging system. The price shown or agreed at the time of booking is the price charged — TaskVault does not add any service fee to the buyer's total. Sellers pay a platform commission, disclosed to them separately, on completed orders.
4. Scheduling
Before payment is finalised, buyers and sellers agree a job location and appointment time through the Platform. If a seller does not respond to a booking within 48 hours, or a buyer does not respond to a proposed alternative time within 24 hours, the order is automatically cancelled and any payment hold is released in full.
5. Payments and protected transactions
Payments are processed via our payment partner and held securely — authorised at checkout, but not released to the seller — until the buyer approves the completed work or the auto-release window expires without objection. Funds are never held directly by TaskVault.
6. Seller obligations
Sellers must hold any trade licences required by their jurisdiction and must complete the work as described in the package or agreed quote. Misrepresentation of qualifications or services may lead to account suspension.
7. Disputes
If a buyer or seller is dissatisfied with an order before it is marked complete, either party may raise a dispute. While a dispute is open, payment remains held and cannot be released, cancelled, or refunded by either party. TaskVault will review evidence and communications from both sides and issue a decision regarding release, refund, or an appropriate split of funds. TaskVault's decision on a dispute is final and binding on both parties for the purposes of fund release under these Terms.
This does not limit either party's independent right to raise a claim with their card issuer or payment provider, or to pursue any other legal remedy available to them.
If a quality issue is discovered shortly after an order is marked complete and payment has already been released, it may be reported within 48 hours of completion. Because funds have already been disbursed, TaskVault's role in this case is to mediate between the parties and, where appropriate, request the seller remedy the issue — this process does not freeze or reverse payment automatically.
8. Prohibited conduct
You may not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, to circumvent our payment system, to post false reviews, or to harass other users.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, TaskVault is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform or any services purchased through it. TaskVault's total liability arising from any order shall not exceed the amount paid for that order.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute arising from these Terms that is not resolved through the Platform's dispute process shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ras Al Khaimah.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
